The South Yorkshire Surgical Research Group (SYSuRG) are pleased to invite you to the National Collaborative Meeting in Sheffield, this Friday 4th December 2015, at the Royal Victoria Holiday Inn.
We are keen to have representatives from as many collaborative groups as possible so that we can hear about all the work from across the country as well as hear ideas about how we can maintain and improve the collaboratives.
As with previous years we will have a range of talks including updates on collaborative supported trials such as DREAMS and HART. We are also looking forwards to an update on the recent national diverticulitis study, CADS, as well as updates from collaboratives on their regional projects. The popular sandpit exercise will also be run again. The last session of the day will feature a Dragon’s den short pitch session for new project ideas.
The collaborative movement is now in its’ eighth year. Whilst some groups have been able to undertake a number of projects successfully, others have struggled. We plan to dedicate a part of the afternoon to discussing the challenges faced by the collaborative model and the solutions which groups have used, or would like to implement.
There will be representatives from trials units and collaboratives giving delegates plenty of opportunity to network and discuss ideas with others.
All info is on the conference website www.nrcm2015.co.uk. We look forward to seeing you in Sheffield in December.
