The first LSRG meeting of 2015 will be our AGM. This is a great opportunity to hear about new studies that you can get involved in, our plans for the coming year and to nominate yourself or others for a position on the committee. Highlights include progress on a new RCT, this year’s National Audit and several other new studies that are in development. The meeting will be held on Thursday 5th February 2015, at 7pm in the National Centre for Bowel Research and Surgical Innovation, 1st Floor Abernethy Building,
There are SEVEN positions on the committee, including the Chairperson and Treasurer roles, available for enthusiastic trainees of all levels and surgical subspecialties. Involvement with the committee will allow you to exercise your organisational and leadership skills and develop a valuable research network of your own. The committee is responsible for running the meetings, maintaining the website and email communications, kickstarting projects by offering resources and contacts, and connecting with the other research collaboratives and with the National Research Collaborative. Previous research experience is valuable but definitely not essential. The majority of communication and organisation is done via email and other collaborative tools and so a major time commitment is not compulsory. Nominations can be received in advance to the email address below or in person on the night.
For questions, or to nominate yourself as a committee member, please send an email to: lsrgcommittee [at] googlegroups.com (replace [a] with @)
