Project open to join: Hughes Abdominal Repair Trial (HART)

JamesProjects

If you want to contribute to a NIHR-funded clinical trial in surgery (it doesn’t get any higher level than this really) then this is your opportunity. HART, run by the trainee research collaborative, Welsh Barbers, is looking for more investigators to open new sites and start recruiting patients. The standard collaborative authorship model will be used.

HART aims to compare the rates of incisional hernia one year following one of two closure methods. The two closure methods are standard mass and the Hughes repair. It is thought that the Hughes repair may be able to prevent hernias.

Informal enquiries to research@welshbarbers.org .

To get involved read the protocol synopsis and then complete the expression of interest form and return to HART@wales.nhs.uk .
