ISOS

Well done to all LSRG members who were involved in the International Surgical Outcomes Study. Please see below the announcement from Prof Pearse.

Dear ISOS investigators,

As many of you already know, the main ISOS paper has now been published
in the British Journal of Anaesthesia. You can access full text of the
paper without charge through the links on this page:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27799174

Unfortunately, there has been a temporary problem with the investigator
listing which means we cannot search for the paper by investigator name
on PubMed. Staff at the British Journal of Anaesthesia are acting
quickly to resolve this issue, although it may take a few weeks.
However, we have been assured the problem will be corrected. In the mean
time, I encourage you to cite the article in your own publications as
this will help the visibility.

I am also delighted to tell you that our analysis of the impact of
critical care admission after surgery has also now been accepted for
publication in the journal Intensive Care Medicine. This will be the
first of a number of secondary ISOS analyses, each of which will be
published on your behalf.

Once again, may I express my gratitude to each of you for your fantastic
contribution to this project. I must only apologise that the publication
process has not gone as smoothly as the study itself!

Best wishes
Rupert Pearse
Chief investigator
